How do I schedule a CDL test?

Can you take your CDL test online?

You can get a Class A CDL permit by passing series of written exams. In most states, the written tests to get a Class A CDL permit include: General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combination vehicles. A Commercial Driver's License handbook or manual can be found at the testing site in each state or online.

Can you get a CDL without going to school?

The short answer is yes, you could go ahead and study and test for your CDL without going to school or a company-sponsored training program. The more accurate answer, however, is yes, but you won't be able to find a company that will hire you to drive for them.

Can you take your CDL test online in Texas?
