Short for Spanning Tree Protocol, STP is a networking protocol first designed by Radio Perelman. It creates a single path over a network, preventing any loops from occurring, even if there are multiple paths to the same destination.
STP is the abbreviation for Standard Temperature and Pressure. The standard temperature is 273 K (0° Celsius) and the standard pressure is 1 ATM pressure. If you perform calculations, it's useful to know that one mole of gas occupies 22.4 L of volume (molar volume) at STP.
The STP process is an important concept in the study and application of marketing. The letters STP stand for segmentation, targeting, and positioning. The STP process demonstrates the links between an overall market and how a company chooses to compete in that market.
STP stands for Sewage Treatment Plant.
Soldiers Training Publication. STP. Security Technical Procedure (US DoD) STP.
IP (“eye-pea”) is actually part of a longer abbreviation TCP/IP. That stands for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. (We'll call it IP for short.) IP stands for 'Internet Protocol.'
The energy it takes to remove an electron from an atom to infinity is called the ionization potential or the ionization energy. Ionization energy (IP) is the energy change of the following reaction, where the energy of the infinitely separated electron, called the free electron, is defined as zero.
IT. Stands for “Information Technology,” and is pronounced “I.T.” It refers to anything related to computing technology, such as networking, hardware, software, the Internet, or the people that work with these technologies.
IP. Abbreviation for. 1. (Computer Science) internet protocol: a code used to label packets of data sent across the internet, identifying both the sending and the receiving computers.
