I have been using PDFfiller for several years and it is essential to my law practice. I haven't used a typewriter to fill in forms since I began using PDFfiller. Especially helpful filling out long questionnaire forms which may have to be changed as additional information is received. Great product!

How does Column length affect resolution?
Doubling column length increases resolution but only by a factor of 1.4. Short column lengths (30-50 mm) will give short run times and low back pressures and are ideal for gradient analyses. Longer columns (250-300 mm) will give greater resolution but with longer analysis times and at a greater cost.
How does Column length affect retention time?
Column length A longer column will produce longer retention times but better separation. Unfortunately, if a component has too long a transit time in the column, there can be a diffusive effect that causes the peak width to broaden.
How does Column length affect chromatography?
Efficiency is directly proportional to column length (Equation 3). Increasing column length will increase efficiency. Doubling column length increases resolution but only by a factor of 1.4. The separation of four paraben compounds detailed in Figure 5 demonstrates the effect of column length.
What affects retention time in chromatography?
