I liked the access to all the forms. It was great. And as I tried to do ever more complicated things with the forms (strikethroughs, initialing the corrections in random places, etc.) I learned more and more about the tools the platform has. It has just about everything you could imagine.

As of 1963, zip codes' numbers are determined by a few factors: the area, the regional postal facility and the local zone. The first number of the five-digit code signifies the region which the address is located in, a number that grows from the east coast to the west.

A ZIP Code is a postal code used by the United States Postal Service (USPS). The term ZIP is an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan. It was chosen to suggest that the mail travels more efficiently and quickly (zipping along) when senders use the code in the postal address.
The first digit of the ZIP code is used as follows: 0 = Connecticut (CT), Massachusetts (MA), Maine (ME), New Hampshire (NH), New Jersey (NJ), Puerto Rico (PR), Rhode Island (RI), Vermont (VT), Virgin Islands (VI), APO Europe (AE), FPO Europe (AE)
The very first ever zip code system was done in Germany in the 1940s. I believe it was the UK next and then in the Early 60s the USA introduced the zip code.
ZIP Codes are designed by the USPS to deliver mail only and USPS does not determine or track the population of the areas they cover. A single delivery address may have a population of zero, or hundreds (such as universities, of which many sorts and deliver mail within their boundaries).
The US Postal Service has been tight-lipped about what new software they are using that renders ZIP codes meaningless. Gulfport, According to a nine-year employee of the United States Post Office, ZIP codes are completely useless now, and no current employee at the Post Office even remembers why they were created.
