How do you write the date in a filename?
Four-digit year. Dash. Two-digit months or single digit month with leading zero. Dash. Two digit day of month or single digit day of month with leading zero. Underscore.
How do I name a file by date?
Always start with the date in YYYY-MM-DD format (also known as ISO 8601 format). Then include descriptive text. This means having a project name, company name, client name, job name, etc. just after the date.
