What is license probation?
A probation is when the DMV gives you a warning for a specified period of time, during which you can not receive any more traffic tickets but does NOT suspend your privilege to drive.

A probationary license is a restricted driver's license issued to young drivers after they have held their permit for the required time and met other requirements.
What does license probation mean?
Probation Period The accumulation of six or more penalty points by a new driver before the end of a period of two years commencing from the date upon which a driver first passed a driving test will result in the revocation of the license.
What are the rules of a probationary license?
Driving with passengers You may not drive with passengers for 180 days after getting your probationary license, unless you are also accompanied in the front seat by a licensed instructor, an individual with a valid driver's license who is at least 25 years of age or a spouse who is at least 21 years of age.
