It does make my life quite a bit easier to edit PDF's. However, if there was an actual way of actually being able to edit the words already typed previous (rather than erasing lots and retyping and aligning) that would save me a lot more time! Am I missing it some where on here? Is there a way to just edit previously typed PDF's?

The bullet journal future log is a place where you add all of your important monthly and yearly events in one place. It is like the year at a glance spread of appointments. It is basically a calendar spread to anything that is relevant for your long-term future planning.
When it comes to bullet journaling, there is no specific time or date to start! You can start a bullet journal in the middle of the year, middle of the month, or even middle of the week. Since you are starting with a blank notebook, it doesn't matter when you start a bullet journal.
That said, most people can expect a bullet journal to last 6 -12 months on average. People who don't use them as frequently may go through only one bullet journal over a 12 -24-month period, while someone extremely active in their bullet journal may require a new one every 3 or 4 months.
THE OFFICIAL BULLET JOURNAL MONTHLY LOG The left page consists of a calendar, where you write down every day of the month down the page, and to the right of these days you write down all the appointments, events, and tasks you need to do on that day. These items can be recorded before or after they happen.

Bullet Journal ling, or Bubo for short, is a flexible planner system which can be adapted to suit anyone's needs. So, bullet journals are not a waste of time, unless you spend too much time doing unnecessarily intricate spreads.
