This was a great program This was a great program. I just don't use it enough to justify paying annually. I wish there was a charge per file option.

Electric strike locks works by replacing the standard strike (the metal plate with a hole in it that's in the door frame) with an energized strike in which one side is cut out and replaced with a hinged piece of metal. When activated, the piece of metal swings like a saloon door and opens the entrance.
To install the strike into the frame opening: A) Position the wiring either down or up or toward the back of the hollow metal frame. Make sure wires are completely clear of strike, so they are not pinched when mounting strike in the frame. B) Insert mounting screws through the face plate and secure into mounting tabs.

An electric strike is an access control device used for doors. It replaces the fixed strike face plate often used with a latch bar (also known as a keeper). Like a fixed strike, it normally presents a ramped surface to the locking latch allowing the door to close and latch just like a fixed strike would.
Inside the lock are pins and spring-loaded cylinders, which are only activated when the correct key is slid into the keyhole. Slide the wrong in there, and the lock won't turn, which means the door won't open. An electric lock, on the other hand, isn't that different from the power door locks on a car.
