How many hours does it take to become a CBA?
To apply for CBA certification under this pathway, you must have an acceptable doctoral degree that was conferred at least 10 years ago, at least 10 years of post-doctoral practical experience, and 500 hours of defined fieldwork.
Is becoming a CBA hard?
Being a behavior analyst can be very rewarding, however it is not the easiest process as it is rigorous and tedious to get through the coursework. This is getting a little easier than our field grows, but be sure to check out the BACK website for a list of accredited schools and coursework.
What does it take to become a CBA?
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (CBA) must possess the minimum of a Master’s degree, meet requirements for either graduate-level coursework (225 hours) or college-level teaching and research in behavior analysis, meet experience requirements, and pass the Behavior Analyst Certification Examination.
How are CBA supervision hours calculated?
Experience Hours per Supervisory Period min of 20 hrs. — max of 130 hrs. *The supervision percentage is calculated by dividing the supervised hours by the total experience hours.
How do I start CBA supervision hours?
You must have completed at least 500 hours of supervised independent fieldwork that meets current Experience Standards. This experience must have started once you completed 10 years of postdoctoral experience (not before your coursework began, as stated in the Experience Standards).
