Wonderful overall as it allows me to type instead of hand write certain forms. I am hoping that it will be easier to use to line all cells up so it looks more neat.

In the Java programming language, a method signature is the method name and the number, type and order of its parameters. Return types and thrown exceptions are not considered to be a part of the method signature.
In Java, a method signature is part of the method declaration. It's the combination of the method name and the parameter list. The reason for the emphasis on just the method name and parameter list is because of overloading. It's the ability to write methods that have the same name but accept different parameters.
The only required elements of a method declaration are the method's return type, name, a pair of parentheses, (), and a body between braces, {}. More generally, method declarations have six components, in order: Modifiers such as public, private, and others you will learn about later.
The method signature is the name and parameter list only. No, in Java the method signature doesn't include the return type, but the declaration does. Return type doesn't include in method signature. Only method name and Parameters are defined as method signature.
Java method signature A method signature is a unique identification of a method for the Java compiler. The signature consists of a method name, and the type and kind (value, reference, or output) of each of its formal parameters. Method signature does not include the return type.
A method type represents the arguments and return type accepted and returned by a method handle, or the arguments and return type passed and expected by a method handle caller. The types (primitive, void, and reference) are represented by Class objects.
Return type is not part of the method signature in C#. Only the method name and its parameters types (but not the parameter names) are part of the signature. You cannot, for example, have these two methods: int Something(int a, int b); string Something(int a, int b);
Definition of a Java Method Signature In Java, a method signature is part of the method declaration. It's the combination of the method name and the parameter list. It's the ability to write methods that have the same name but accept different parameters.
