For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Sagging. This is one of the most common issues to be covered under a mattress warranty. Warranties won't cover sagging brought on gradually by normal wear and tear over the course of several years. Most mattress warranties cover a sagging depth of 1.5 or more, but some will cover sagging of as little as 0.75.
Unfortunately, no good thing lasts forever. There is some debate as to how long mattresses actually last, most spring mattress companies recommend replacing them every ten years, but in actuality the time it takes to lose tension is probably closer to five or six.
A new mattress on an old foundation will still usually sag, since that is where the problems usually start. Firm mattresses usually hold better than soft and in most cases is better for the body. In Consumer Report tests, a higher coil count or firmer mattress didn't necessarily reduce sagging.
However, the majority of high-end mattresses have a lifespan of between 7-10 years, but it can last beyond 10 years and more depend on the level of care. For best results, a mattress should be replaced within 10 years. Generally, foam and latex mattresses tend to last longer than the average lifespan.
The most common range is between 10 and 20 years. It's common for shoppers to assume that the length of the warranty is the same as the expected lifespan of the mattress, but this is not the case. In most cases, a mattress gives out from wear-and-tear well before the end of the warranty period.
