There are some things that could be more user-friendly or convenient but overall it is very effective and useful as a tool for creating and modifying documents. The "preview document" is never accurate, and the ink looks faded after it is scanned in as a template.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
What resolution should I use for large format printing? The regular industry standard resolution for printing is 600 dpi (dots per inch) for black-and-white artwork and 300 dpi for color reproductions.
For large graphics on a billboard or a drape, you can probably get away with less than 120 dpi. If there's fine work or small writing (up to 27 pt) you'll need higher than 300 dpi. From my printing experience we always printed large scale images at 150 PPI.
The “Recommended Minimum” resolution makes a 150PPI image and print, while the “Excellent” dimensions would make a 300PPI image and print. The recommended minimum image size will allow for a very high-quality print.
A billboard is rarely viewed closely so a resolution of 20-50dpi will probably be fine. But the key point is to take into account how far away the viewer will be.
Raster Files: For banners and signs designed to be viewed at less than 24", your resolution should be 300 dpi at final size. For designs that are to be viewed beyond 24", we recommend a resolution of 150 dpi at final size.
Megapixels Matter A 2-megapixel-resolution image, for example, will only go as large as 4 × 6 while keeping the best quality intact, even though that image might look great on your monitor. If you try to print an image larger than allowed, you'll get something that's pixelated and unusable.
For most artwork, 300 dpi is preferred. Most printers produce excellent output from images set at 300 PPI. You can use 150 dpi for large prints because the difference in print quality is not very noticeable on large pieces when you look at the prints from a distance.
The maximum size you can print This is 4×6.
Since every inch contains 300 pixels, that means that your 8.5×11 file should be: 2550 pixels wide (300 pixels/inch * 8.5 inches) and. 3300 pixels tall (300 pixels/inch * 11 inches)
Choose Image >Image size. Maintain the current ration to pixel width to pixel height by selecting Constrain Proportions Under Pixel Dimensions enter your new values. ... Ensure that Resample is selection and choose an interpolation method.
