To pull up the Advanced Scholar Search menu, go to the regular Google Scholar search page. In the upper left corner of the page, press the button made of three horizontal lines to open a new menu. Advanced Search should be the second to last option in the newly-opened menu.
Select the “Add” option from the Actions menu. Search for your articles using titles, keywords, or your name. To add one article at a time, click “Search articles” and then “Add article” next to the article you wish to add. Your citation metrics will update immediately to account for the articles you added.
Click on Search. A list of publications by that author name will appear. To the right of each citation, the number of times the article has been cited will appear. Click the number next to “times cited” to view the articles that have cited your article.

To track citations, complete a search. In the results, one can view citations by clicking on the hyperlink number of times cited beneath the article description. One useful aspect of Web of Science is that it can analyze citation results, which Google Scholar does not.
To see which articles in a publication were cited the most and who cited them, click on its h-index number to view the articles as well as the citations underlying the metrics. You can also explore publications in research areas of your interest.
