Simply put, PDFFILLER has made my life a whole lot 'simpler'. I am no longer buried up to my eyeballs in paperwork (just up to my knees now! ha!) On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. At the top, click the letter of the column you want to sort by. Right-click the column. Click Sort sheet by A to Z or Sort sheet Z to A.
To alphabetize in Excel using Sort, select the data, go to the Data Ribbon, click Sort, then select the column you want to alphabetize by. Select the data you want to alphabetize with your cursor. You can select just one column, or multiple columns if you want to include other information.
Microsoft Excel can automatically sort columns or rows alphabetically. Click a cell in the column or row you would like to sort. Make sure all the data in the cells is text, and remove any spaces that might be inserted in front of the text. Under the Data tab, in the Sort & Filter group, click Sort.
Position the cell cursor in one of the cells in the data list table. Click the Sort button in the Sort & Filter group on the Data tab or press Alt+ASS. ... Select the name of the field you first want the records sorted by from the Sort By drop-down list.
Select any cell in the column you want to sort. On the Data tab, in the Sort and Filter group, click either A-Z to sort ascending or Z-A to sort descending. Done!
