Open the messaging app (Messages or Anywhere) Tap on the conversation with the Contact for which you want to set up a custom notification tone. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen, then: For Messages, tap Details. Tap Notifications. Tap Sound. Choose a Sound, and then tap OK.
Open the contact you want to personalize the message tone. Click “edit”. Then scroll down to the bottom and click on “ADD ANOTHER FIELD”. Tap to put a check mark beside “Message tone” then tap “OK”.
Open the Contacts app. Tap Menu. Choose Select ringtone, then choose the tone for text messages or choose None. You may also select Vibrate to turn vibration on or off.
Tap the Conversation you wish to set a custom notification for. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the screen. Tap Details. Tap Notifications. Tap Sound. Tap your desired tone.
Go to the People app (also may be labelled Contacts) and select a contact. In contact details, hit the Menu button (three vertical dots in the top-right corner) and choose Edit (this step may be unnecessary on your phone) Scroll down until you see Ringtone. Tap it and select a tone to play when they call.
Open Settings. Tap Sound. Tap Default notification sound. Select the custom notification sound you added to the Notifications folder. Tap Save or OK.
Once you've opened the Phone (or Contacts) app, navigate to your contact, tap the Edit button in the top right. From there, hit the More button, then scroll all the way to the bottom. Tap the Ringtone option. Once you've selected your ringtone, tap the Save option at the top.
