First, select a cell in column A. On the View tab, in the Window group, click Split. Notice the two vertical scroll bars. To change the window layout, use the horizontal split bar that divides the panes. To remove the split, simply double-click the split bar.
Select the sheets in the Sheet tab bar, right click, and select Move or Copy from the context menu. In the Move or Copy dialog, select (new book) from the To book drop down list, check the Create a copy option, and click the OK button.
Vertically Split Screen When you split your window vertically you have two horizontal scroll bars. Select the column which you want to split to appear on the left of and select (Window > Split). To adjust the split panes you can drag them to the desired position. You can also use the mouse to drag and resize the panes.
Select the cells you want to split into two cells. On the Data tab, click the Text to Columns option. In the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, if you want to split the text in the cells based on a comma, space, or other character, select the Delimited option.
In the table, click the cell that you want to split. Click the Layout tab. In the Merge group, click Split Cells. In the Split Cells dialog, select the number of columns and rows that you want and then click OK.
Select the data that needs dividing into two columns. On the Data tab, click the Turn to Columns button. Choose the Delimited option (if it isn't already chosen) and click Next. Under Delimiters, choose the option that defines how you will divide the data into two columns. Click Next. Click Finish.
