Start Microsoft Word and open the document to copy to Excel. Highlight the text and any images to paste into the Excel spreadsheet by dragging the cursor to highlight it, right-clicking the highlight and selecting Copy. Open Excel. If pasting into an existing spreadsheet, use the File tab to browse to and open it.
Select the cells or ranges you wish to copy. Select the Home tab. Select Copy in the Clipboard section. Select the cell you wish to paste your values to. Select the lower half of the large Paste button. Select OK.
Click the cell with the formula to select it. Press Ctrl + C to copy the formula. Select a cell or a range of cells where you want to paste the formula (to select non-adjacent ranges, press and hold the Ctrl key). Press Ctrl + V to paste the formula.
Select the cell with the formula, and then click Cells on the Format menu. Click the Number tab. Select the cell with the formula, press F2, and then press ENTER. In the same cell, click Cells on the Format menu. Specify the category and format options for the cell and then click OK.
Converting formulas to values using Excel shortcuts Just follow the simple steps below: Select all the cells with formulas that you want to convert. Press Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Ins to copy formulas and their results to clipboard. Press Shift + F10 and then V to paste only values back to Excel cells.
To paste a bullet list from Word into a single cell in Excel, copy the bullet list in Word, toggle to Excel, select the desired cell, press the F2 key to invoke edit mode, and then paste, as suggested by the screenshots below. The bullet list will paste into a single Excel cell.
Alt + 7 or Alt + 0149 to insert a solid bullet. Alt + 9 to insert an empty bullet. To repeat bullet points in non-adjacent cells, select a cell with the bullet symbol and press Ctrl + C to copy it, then select another cell(s) where you want to have the bullets and press Ctrl + V to paste the copied symbol.
