On average, 50% of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90% are reviewed in 48 hours. If your submission is incomplete, review times may be further delayed or your app may be rejected. Once your app has been reviewed, its status will be updated, and you will be notified.
In most cases, it takes about one to three days to receive approval, and it can take up to 24 hours for your app to appear in the App Store after approval. Check current average app store review times here.
Hence to put an Android app at Google Play, it may take 4 hours to 1 business day. Apple App Store used to have a lengthy manual review process till last year.
Although Apple hasn't announced a policy change, developers report that the approval process for new and updated apps now takes less than two days. That's about seven days less than it took one year ago.
Google now takes three days to approve new Play Store apps. Developers are unhappy about not being notified regarding the changes in the review process ahead of time.
