I thought this would be to costly per mo. for my use. When I went to cancel I was offered a 75% discount to stay for another yr. That will certainly give me time to see its use.

How are settlements reached during a strike?
Settlement. Strikes are ordinarily settled by negotiation between the employer and the employees or the union that represents them. If the employer and employees bargain in good faith, they generally settle their differences and sign a collective bargaining agreement.
What are the ways of settling strike?
The most used method in practice is as follows: When a strike breaks out, the local labor federation comes to settle it by collaborating with the local labor management agency in organizing mediation and conciliation and requesting a call-off of the strike.
How can we reduce strikes?
Bridge the worker-management divide. Practice empathy. Maintain a positive attitude. Allow for worker autonomy. Provide employees with the information they need. Consider appearances. Consider employee safety.
How do strikes work?
At its most basic level, a strike occurs when all the workers in the union stop coming to work. With no workers, the business shuts down. The employer stops making money, though it is still spending money on taxes, rent, electricity and maintenance. The longer the strike lasts, the more money the employer loses.
What was governmental policy toward strikes?
The more successfully the government convinces both employers and unions that it will no longer submit to economic coercion, the less is the likelihood of strikes against the government. The policy which the government adopts toward prices will determine the policy which it pursues toward the adjustment of wages.
Can a union strike over wages?
The object of collective bargaining is for the employer and the union to come to an agreement over wages, benefits, and working conditions. A collective bargaining agreement may include a clause which prohibits the union from striking during the term of the agreement, known as a “no-strike clause”.
Do I have to strike with my union?
As a union member, you are bound by the union's constitution and bylaws, which in most unions provide that members who work during a lawfully-called strike can be fined. Such fines can be expensive and may be collectable in state court.
