How long does it take for a DL to come in the mail?
Your driver license will be mailed to you. We will issue your license within 3 weeks of receipt.
How long does it take to get real ID in mail?
With central issuance, you receive a temporary secure paper DL/ID immediately and your permanent DL/ID will arrive in the mail in approximately 15 business days.
How long does it take for the DMV to send your license?
We mail your license, learner permit or non-driver ID to the address we have our records. Allow 2 weeks to receive the document. If your document is not delivered two weeks after the date the document was processed, you can send a question to us online, call the DMV or visit your local DMV office.
How long does it take to get a hard copy license?
You would receive your permanent driver's license in the mail within 14 days, provided there are no issues with your application or documentation. If there are issues with your application or documentation, you will be contacted by a BMV representative.
