How do you trace a drawing without tracing paper?
Place a sheet of graphite transfer paper graphite-side down atop the project surface, then place the original image atop the graphite paper. Trace the details of the image with a ball-point pen or dull pencil. Graphite from the transfer paper rubs off onto the project surface and can be erased, if necessary.
How do you do trace?
Open the command prompt. Go to Start > Run. In the command prompt, type: tracer hostname. You may have to wait up to a minute or more for the test to complete. Send us the complete results (every line) for analysis.
How do I trace a shape in Illustrator?
Start Your Path. Adjust your curves with direct selection tool (A key). Repeat until you have half of your object traced. Select the entire path. Reflect the path. Line up the paths. Right click and select Join Paths

How do you use Live Trace?
Choose Object > Live Trace > Tracing Options. (Alternatively, select a tracing object, and click the Tracing Options Dialog button in the Control panel.) Set tracing options for the preset, and click Save Preset. Enter a name for the preset, and click OK.
How do you live trace an image?
Trace artwork To trace the image using the default tracing options, click Live Trace in the Control panel, or choose Object > Live Trace > Make. To set tracing options before you trace the image, click the Tracing Presets and Options button in the Control panel, and choose Tracing Options.
Is Live trace the same as image trace?
1 Answer. The Path Fitting and Minimum Area options from Live Trace are not directly transferable to Image Trace. However, adjusting the Paths options will sort of adjust things in the same manner.
