You can also search for your school district at the National Center for Education Statistics website. The district will still have student records for all the high schools that belonged to the district and should be able to get you a copy of your transcript and send official copies on your behalf.
Most colleges and universities have an Office of the Registrar or Office of Records, which is the department responsible for keeping transcripts current, enrollment status and student records. Contact the Registrar's Office to request an official transcript.
To obtain a transcript from a California public school, you will need to contact the school directly. If the school is closed, we suggest contacting the local school district or the County Office of Education for assistance. Contact information for these entities may be obtained from the California School Directory.
