Say you're typing in the first column of your document, and you want to end that column there and start typing in the second column. To do that, you have to insert a column break. You can insert a column break in one of two ways: Press CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER simultaneously. Or.
Select all the text containing the bulleted list or lists you've created. Open the “Page Layout” tab, and then click “Columns.” Choose the number of columns you want to show from the drop-down menu. Move the cursor to the point where you want your second column to start.
