String theory attempts to unify all four forces, and in so doing, unify general relativity and quantum mechanics. ... String theory implies that the particles that comprise all the matter that you see in the universe and all the forces that allow matter to interact are made of tiny vibrating strands of energy.
String theory describes how strings propagate through space and interact with each other. ... In string theory, one of the vibrational states of the string gives rise to the gravity, a quantum mechanical particle that carries gravitational force. Thus string theory is a theory of quantum gravity.
String theory attempts to unify all four forces, and in so doing, unify general relativity and quantum mechanics. At its core is a fairly simple idea all particles are made of tiny vibrating strands of energy. (String theory gets its name from the string-like appearance of these energy strands.)
String theory suggests that matter can be broken down beyond electrons and quarks into tiny loops of vibrating strings. Those strings move and vibrate at different frequencies, giving particles distinctive properties like mass and charge.
String theory is a set of attempts to model the four known fundamental interactions gravitation, electromagnetism, strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force together in one theory. ... Einstein had sought a unified field theory, a single model to explain the fundamental interactions or mechanics of the universe.
The primary goal of string theory is to join the laws of quantum mechanics (the laws of the small) with the laws of general relativity (the laws of the large), into a single mathematically consistent framework.
String theory proposes that the fundamental constituents of the universe are one-dimensional strings rather than point-like particles. What we perceive as particles are actually vibrations in loops of string, each with its own characteristic frequency.
String theory is a set of attempts to model the four known fundamental interactions gravitation, electromagnetism, strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force together in one theory. ... Einstein had sought a unified field theory, a single model to explain the fundamental interactions or mechanics of the universe.
The name string theory comes from the modeling of subatomic particles as tiny one-dimensional springlike entities rather than the more conventional approach in which they are modeled as zero-dimensional point particles.
