Launch Word and open the file that you want to merge into another file. Right-click anywhere in the highlighted area and choose Copy. If you happen to click off the highlight before you copy, repeat the “Select All” process. Open the second Word file.
Open the document which is to receive the existing file. Put the cursor in the place you want the file to go. From the ribbon go to: Insert tab, Text section, Object and then Text from File. Navigate through your folder structure and select the file you want. Double-click on the file and the document will be added.

Click the Insert tab, then click the small drop-down arrow on the Object menu. Click the Object option to open the Object window. Click the Creation from file tab. Browse to the formatted document.
In the Insert File dialog window, select all Word documents that you want to merge and combine into one. To select multiple files, press and hold down CTRL key while clicking on the files one by one. All documents selected now merged and combined into a single document file.
”Insert” tab allows you to subtly merge documents. Locate “Object”, press a small triangle next to it, and click “Text from File” from the dropdown menu. After that, you can select files to be merged into the current document.
