Re issuance of Cancelled License If you fail to renew your license for a period of five years, it will be cancelled. Once cancelled, your license cannot be renewed, restored, or reinstated.
Should you need to check the status of your guard card, you must contact the BASIS at: (916) 322-4000 or (800) 952-5210.
You can still renew your guard card up to 60 days after the expiration date, but the fee increases to $65. If you don't include the applicable delinquency fee with your application, your renewal will be delayed.
