Remove a footnote If you want to delete the footnote (that's at the bottom of the page), delete the number 1 in the body. When you do that, the footnote itself disappears. Another way you can do this is to right-click the footnote at the bottom of the page, select Go to Footnote and then delete the number there.
Go to beginning of document. Click the References tab. Click Show Notes. Click Next Footnote until the cursor moves to a position where a footnote does not exist. That is the phantom footnote. Delete the next around the cursor.
To delete a footnote or an end note, you must delete the note reference mark in the document window, not the text of the note. In the document, select the note reference mark of the note that you want to delete, and then press DELETE.
If you want to delete the footnote (that's at the bottom of the page), delete the number 1 in the body. When you do that, the footnote itself disappears. Another way you can do this is to right-click the footnote at the bottom of the page, select Go to Footnote and then delete the number there.
Open the OneNote program. Click on the OneNote menu and select the Customizer. Click the Uninstallation option at the bottom of this menu. When this is complete, it will remove all external components. Click Quit. Drag the OneNote folder from the Applications' folder to the Trash. Empty the Trash.
To change a footnote to an end note, Control + Click the footnote text and click Convert to End note. To change an end note to a footnote, Control + Click the end note text and click Convert to Footnote. To convert a group of footnotes or end notes, select them before you Control + Click.
Place the cursor where you would like the superscript number to appear. Click on Insert Footnote in the References tab. ... The corresponding number will be automatically inserted in the footer ready for you to add the footnote citation. Type in your footnote citation.
Click where you want to add a footnote. Click References > Insert Footnote. Word inserts a reference mark in the text and adds the footnote mark at the bottom of the page. Type the footnote text. Tip: To return to your place in your document, double-click the footnote mark.
