AWESOME program but too expensive AWESOME program, but the monthly cost is WAY too high. Should charge customers a more affordable price of $10/month. And stop trying to force us to pay for a whole year up front -- what if I don't need it for an entire year? Fantastic features, easy to learn, a pleasure to use. Just TOO EXPENSIVE.

The typical price is $1,221 while the average range is between $441 and $2,001. In a big city permits can cost $7,500 — in small towns the permits may be $100. Building permits are needed in all sorts of remodeling and home building situations.
The final cost of building permits depends on the type of project and its complexities. However, you can expect to pay anywhere from $1,200 to $2,000 in permit fees when executing building projects at home. For instance, a room addition permit may cost $1,500, whereas renovating a bathroom may cost $1,200.
The short answer to whether or not you need a permit to remodel your bathroom is that permitting requirements vary from city to city. There are currently no federal or state standards when it comes to home remodel permits. So it pays to do your homework.
Planning permits typically cost around $30, but are not necessary for additions or changes to existing structures or homes, only new structures on certain areas of land.
It is estimated that the average cost of a permit is about $1,221, but costs often fall anywhere between $441 and $2,000.
How Do I Get a Permit? Apply for the permit through your local municipal government office. Depending on the complexity of the project, some permits are issued immediately, while others may require inspection of the plans. During the renovation, inspections of the work will likely be required.
While some home improvement projects might not need a permit, many others do. You'd be well advised to check with your local government office to see whether a permit is required. Whatever the case may be, conducting a remodeling job without the necessary permits can spell trouble down the line.
Not only might you be fined if you're caught having made renovations without a permit, but you also might fail to obtain the certificate of occupancy you need to complete that transaction (or at least fail to obtain it in a timely fashion).
