It has allowed me to "type" forms that I would have otherwise needed to hand write or type on an old fashioned typewriter (which I still have). I didn't like the way the numeric columns lined up. I didn't see a way to insure that they were all right aligned.

Basically, heavy equipment insurance is covered under an Inland Marine policy that provides protection to loaders, cranes, and other heavy equipment that is often used in construction and during other tasks.
Tools and equipment insurance protects against lost tools, stolen tools, and damaged tools. If your tools are stolen out of your truck or off of a job site, go missing after you've loaned them to a crew member, or get damaged by vandals, tools and equipment policies are designed to cover it.
The Cost. Go Get Tools Insurance costs from as little as $17.58 per month or $211 per annum, including GST.
You can either protect your tools as part of your van insurance or as an added extra to your policy. This means that you'll be protected if they're stolen, but also if they get damaged in an accident. Never underestimate the value of your tools though.

Answer: While comprehensive coverage is the portion of a car insurance policy that theft goes under, unfortunately, it's unlikely that it would cover your tools that were stolen. Then, if they were stolen, you could make a claim with your business policy and have your tools covered, minus your deductible amount.
