Questions & answers

Students simply call SHCS's main number (415-476-1281) and indicate they want to schedule an appointment with a counselor. If the student feels their need is urgent they should express that to the staff member scheduling the appointment.
Each semester, enrolled credit students are charged a mandatory $20.00 student health fee ($16 for Summer). Health fee dollars are subject to change as allowed by the state legislature.
Remain a California resident or qualify for a non-resident exemption (AB 540, AB 13, AB 2000, SB 68) Meet the California residency requirement as a homeless person or foster youth. Remain a San Francisco resident. Continue to follow college policies and requirements listed in the CCSF Catalog.
CCSF students always have enrollment priority. Not all CCSF courses are open for Concurrent Enrollment applicants (e.g. classes in the Nursing Department, Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies). Tuition and Additional Fees (subject to change at any time): International Student Tuition Fee: $358 per unit.
Classes are held at various CCSF locations and are all tuition-free. New Noncredit students can complete and submit the online Noncredit Application.
The total tuition and living expense budget for in-state California residents to go to City College of San Francisco is $24,235 for the 2021/2022 academic year. Out-of-state students who don't have California residence can expect a one year cost of $31,771.
