In ways its harder to use, does not put signs in for you and does not calculate for you like the regular form.. but this is the only way I can save my form and make copies and edit it so this kind of saved me a ton of time!

I am concerned a little about getting to involved with them. You see it happen often after one year with service providers the rates start increasing. Than you need to find a new service to merge your existing business with. We'll see. Overall though the company has been excellent.

S corporation shareholders are required to compute both stock and debt basis. The amount of a shareholder's stock and debt basis in the S corporation is very important.
Information for Form 7203 is entered on the Basis Wkst and Basis Wkst (cont) tabs of the K1S screen. These entries automatically generate Form 7203 in view mode.
It just affects the departing shareholder. It shouldn't affect the basis of the remaining shareholders.
Perhaps some good news as a business owner: It's not the responsibility of the S corp to track stock and debt basis. That calculation falls on the individual shareholder. Of course, you're likely one of those shareholders, so you'll still need to calculate your S corp basis on your income tax return every year.
Use Form 1120-S (Schedule B-1), Information on Certain Shareholders of an S Corporation, to provide the information applicable to any shareholder in the S corporation that was a disregarded entity, a trust, an estate, or a nominee or similar person at any time during the tax year.
S corporation shareholders use Form 7203 to figure the potential limitations of their share of the S corporation's deductions, credits, and other items that can be deducted on their individual returns.
If the corporation's total receipts for the tax year AND total assets at the end of the tax year less than $250,000, Schedules L and M-1 are not required.
You'll need to file a Schedule C if you earn income through self-employment as a sole proprietor or as a single-member Limited Liability Company (LLC). You wouldn't use a Schedule C to report business income and expenses of a C Corporation or S corporation.
