Blood Sugar Log - Page 2

Understand the Daily Blood Sugar Log

Self-measurement of sugar rate and the regular maintenance of a blood sugar log is an essential factor in managing diabetes. Common self-control will help you find out how well the medicine works and how exercise and nutrition affect your glucose numbers. When indicators are normal or almost normal, you usually feel well and have plenty of energy. Maintaining the recommended level can also reduce the risk of complications.

Your healthcare physician will decide when and how often you need to monitor your testimony and which logbook is best for you. You can choose one of the varieties of forms on PDFfiller's website, depending on your health recommendations or for the convenience of the templates.

How to Complete Your Diabetes Logsheets Form

When you obtain your sugar results you should record them to the blood sugar chart template and then inform it to your physician:

Enter values immediately after the tests, don't skip. This will allow your doctor to build further treatment as clearly as possible.
PDFfiller's templates are easy to work with and won't take long to fill in.
All the advanced features of our web-sulution were designed specifically to facilitate the work with editable PDF files.
Usually, tests are done immediately after waking up, on an empty stomach, and 1-2 hours after eating.
You can check the contrul measures a few minutes before and a couple after exercise to see the glucose level progress.
Once you complete it you can submit your records to your practitioner directly and discuss your diabetes contrul.

Remember to keep a regular glucose monitoring log. Soon you'll realize that this info is very useful for your well-being. Analyze it yourself or with your doctor. Explore how different meals, medicine, insulin shots, and other factors affect your blood.

PDFfiller is a GREAT program with INCREDIBLE customer service!
PDFfiller is a GREAT program with INCREDIBLE customer service! PDFfiller is a GREAT program! It is very easy to use. It helped me tremendously when I had a project and needed to fill out literally hundreds of documents online. The program worked very well, was incredibly responsive, & even kept all of my documents for easy access as well. Most importantly, however, is that they have absolutely INCREDIBLE customer service! I used the chat feature and it was totally painless and even enjoyable. I was treated very well by the chat rep (Paul)! I am a single mother who is trying to start a small business with VERY limited funds. I meant to cancel my plan before my 30-day trial was over. Like so many other times in my hectic life, I guess I forgot! I was quite anxious about it as many companies charge high cancelation fees if you fail to cancel during the trial. There was no need to worry though. I simply logged into my account and then I saw the chat feature. I chose to use it even though I was hesitant to do so (many companies do not provide very good customer service through chat). The response time was extremely fast. I asked to cancel my membership and he replied right away that he would do that for me. Here is the best part, he then proceeded to ASK me if I would like a refund as well!! Now that is WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thanks so much, PDFfiller & Paul! I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my family and friends. You just do not see that level of customer care combined with great products anymore. I was quite impressed!

A reading above 300 mg/dL can be dangerous, according to the University of Michigan, which recommends immediately informing your doctor if you have two or more readings of 300 mg/dL in a row. In severe cases, very high blood sugar levels (well above 300 mg/dL) can result in coma.
Normal ranges of blood sugar levels are between 70 and 130 mg/dL before eating meals. The American Diabetes Association recommends seniors have blood glucose levels of less than 180 mg/dL two hours after eating. Not every senior has the same care needs, which means they don't all need the same type of at-home care.
How do I check? After washing your hands, insert a test strip into your meter. Use your lancing device on the side of your fingertip to get a drop of blood. Touch and hold the edge of the test strip to the drop of blood and wait for the result. Your blood glucose level will appear on the meter's display.
For low blood sugar between 55-69 mg/dL, raise it by following the 15-15 rule: have 15 grams of carbs and check your blood sugar after 15 minutes. If it's still below your target range, have another serving. Repeat these steps until it's in your target range.
If you're tracking your blood sugar levels with a printed log sheet, you'll need to fill out the sheet every day. Make sure to include the date, time, and your blood sugar level for each entry. You can also include other information like what you ate that day or if you exercised.
Some of today's most popular diabetes apps include mySugr, Glucose Buddy, and OneDrop. Most apps will do some analysis of your blood sugar readings, including some of the following: Calculate daily, weekly, and monthly averages and deviations for your readings.
