A simple method of hiding a number on a cellphone bill is to activate caller ID block on that number. If caller ID block is activated on a particular number, then it will appear as "Private" or "Withheld" on the caller ID of any phone that is rung from that phone number.
*67 hides the number calling you, so it will not show up as a contact on your phone or the bill. Sometimes numbers do not show on the bill because they are blocked or are designated as private numbers.
We all know that when you dial *67 before dialing the phone number you are calling that your number will be descreet and private so it cannot be traced.
Temporarily block your number Actually, it's more like *67 (star 67) and it's free. Dial that code before the phone number, and it will temporarily deactivate caller ID.
As the call is being blocked by the device itself, it is still being routed by the network to your number before it is blocked. Due to this, the call record may appear as an item on your detailed bill.
Unfortunately even after the person unblocks you, they will not get any of your missed calls or messages that you've sent them while you were being blocked either. The short answer is NO. ... This means that blocked number may still leave you a voice mail but you will not know they called or that there is a voice message.
To block your number from being displayed temporarily for a specific call: Enter *67. Enter the number you wish to call (including area code). ... The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicator will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.
You have the option to block Caller ID either temporarily or permanently. To block your number from being displayed temporarily for a specific call: Enter *67.
*67 hides the number calling you, so it will not show up as a contact on your phone or the bill. Sometimes numbers do not show on the bill because they are blocked or are designated as private numbers.
The number will be marked as private on the statement. Real easy. Don't make call to or answer calls from numbers you don't want to show up on the bill. If you have to hide something, you probably shouldn't do it.
