Will the person know if I hide their comment?
To hide a comment, hover over the top-right hand x and click Hide. Now the post can only be seen by the person who wrote the comment and his or her friends. They'll have no idea the post is hidden, and you can always click Unhide later if you like.
What happens if you hide a comment?
If you hide a comment on your own timeline, you will no longer see that comment or any replies to it. In general, your friends will no longer be able to see it either. However, the person who posted the comment will still be able to see it, so they will have no idea that you hid it.

Can you reply to a hidden comment on Facebook?
It also gives you the option to reply to the hidden comment. Now, alternatively, you can delete a comment from your Facebook timeline. That completely removes it, and nobody will see it not you, not your friends, not the person who posted the comment, and not their friends.
How do I unhide a comment?
Visit www.facebook.com.
Log into your account if prompted.
Click the drop-down arrow. It's located at the top-right corner of the screen next to the question mark icon.
Click on a page you manage.
Locate the post with a hidden comment. The comment will be grayed out. ...
Click Unhide.
Why are Facebook comments hidden?
1 Answer. Facebook has comment spam filters that will, by default, hide certain comments (unless the post owner goes in and manually unhides them). The comments remain in the comment count but don't show up to the public (if it's your post you can see three dots and click to manage the spam posts).
Can someone tell if you hide their posts on Facebook?
Short answer = No, it won't show up to them on your timeline. ... They will not see the post on your timeline, nor will they receive a notification that you "hid" it. It would still be visible to them in their own activity log (under "Your posts") and could conceivably turn up in News Feed for you or your friends.
How can you tell if someone has blocked you from seeing their Facebook posts?
How can I tell if a friend has restricted me from seeing their posts? The only way you can tell for sure is to ask someone else if they can see any posts from that person. If they can see posts that you can't, then you'll know that person has blocked you from seeing their posts.
