1 Answer. Hi Rene, Assuming there is no security on the PDF, you can open it in Acrobat, put the form in edit mode then double click on the drop down field to open the Properties dialog. In the Properties dialog the items in the drop down list are located under the Options tab and you can edit the list of items there.
On the worksheet where you applied the drop-down list, select a cell that has the drop-down list. Go to Data > Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click in the Source box, and then change your list items as needed.
Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Select the cell or cells where you want to create a drop-down list. Click Data Data validation. Next to "Criteria," choose an option: ... The cells will have a Down arrow . ... If you enter data in a cell that doesn't match an item on the list, you'll see a warning.

To save the completed form, choose File > Save As and rename the file. To remove extended Reader features, choose File > Save A Copy. To allow Reader users to save the data they typed, choose File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (Includes Form Fill-in & Save).
