Create your address labels In Word, click Mailings > Start Mail Merge > Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard to start the mail merge wizard. Choose Labels, and then click Next: Starting document. Choose Label options, select your label vendor and product number, and then click OK. Click Next: Select recipients.
Create a new Excel spreadsheet. Each piece of data that you'll want to merge into your email will have to be in its own column on the spreadsheet. Whatever you title each column will determine the name of the field when creating your Mail Merge. In Excel, choose File > Save As.
In Word, select Mailings > Start Mail Merge. Choose the kind of merge you want to run. Go to the Mailings tab and select Recipients > Use an Existing List. Find your Excel file, then select Open.
In a blank Microsoft Word document, click on the Mailings tab, and in the Start Mail Merge group, click Start Mail Merge. Click Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard. Select your document type. Select the starting document. Select recipients. Write the letter and add custom fields.
You can use data from an existing spreadsheet to generate labels. When you create a spreadsheet in Excel the data is arranged in columns and rows. You can use mail merge to create Avery labels and choose your specific product number before you run them. Use Excel to make Avery labels.
