Go to Settings > Sound & Notification > App Notifications. Select the app, and make sure that Notifications are turned on and set to Normal. Make sure that Do Not Disturb is turned off.
Open your phone's Settings app. Tap Apps & notifications. Notifications. Under Recently Sent, tap an app. Tap a type of notification. Choose your options: Choose Alerting or Silent. To see a banner for alerting notifications when your phone is unlocked, turn on Pop on screen.
Press and hold on the notification. Tap the “i” information icon, you should now be in the app info. Tap the “Notification” group, you should now see a list of the notification types for the app. Tap the name of the notification type you want to minimize. Tap Behavior.
Pull down your notification drawer. Select “Manage Notifications” on the bottom left. Search for the app you want to undo this action and proceed.
To enable this, pull down the notification bar, tap and hold the gear icon on the top right for a few seconds. When you let go, you will see a message on the bottom saying 'System UI tuner has been enabled'. Head to settings and scroll to find System UI tuner. Tap on Other > Power notification controls and enable it.
