CBS officially said that it is open to negotiate with AT&T, and its offer of a 30-day extension -- which it claimed AT&T rejected and AT&T says is too onerous -- is still on the table. CBS said AT&T did offer up a 6-day extension proposal on July 19 that was loaded with conditions it could not accept.

AT&T and Nectar agreed to a deal on Thursday that will return the signals from Nexstar-owned TV stations which includes CBS 17 AT&T U-verse, DirecTV and AT&T TV (formerly DirecTV Now) customers. WHEN, also known as CBS 17, tweeted on Thursday that the signal should be back by midnight Thursday.
The new deal returns CBS-owned stations to AT&T DirecTV and U-verse platforms, as well as CBS's cable networks including CBS Sports Network and Smithsonian Channel. CBS affiliates available via DirecTV Now are returning to the streaming services. The agreement also covers upcoming AT&T TV platforms, the companies said.
AT&T called CBS a repeat blackout offender and said the network had been demanding unprecedented increases in the fees it charges. AT&T's television customers in at least 14 markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco, lost their feeds to CBS.
A few weeks ago AT&T and CBS contract to air CBS programming on DirecTV NOW (now called AT&T TV NOW) ended. This resulted in AT&T losing access to CBS owned stations on DirecTV and all CBS stations on DirecTV NOW.
