How to Use the Conform Footnote Document Feature in pdfFiller

The Conform Footnote Document feature in pdfFiller allows you to easily add footnotes to your documents. Follow these steps to use this feature:

Open the document you want to add footnotes to in pdfFiller.

Click on the 'Edit' button to enter the editing mode.

Scroll to the section of the document where you want to add a footnote.

Place your cursor at the end of the sentence or word where you want to add the footnote.

A footnote will be added at the bottom of the page, and a superscript number will be inserted at the cursor position in the document.

Type your footnote text in the footnote area at the bottom of the page.

To delete a footnote, simply delete the superscript number in the document or delete the corresponding text in the footnote area.

Footnotes appear at the bottom of the page and end notes come at the end of the document. A number or symbol on the footnote or end note matches up with a reference mark in the document. Click where you want to reference to the footnote or end note. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert End note.
Click inside any footnote in the document. Click the Home tab. From the Select dropdown in the Editing group, choose Select All Text With Similar Formatting (No Data), as shown in Figure D. Press F9 and then click Yes (once for each footnote, which is a bit tedious).
Each footnote should appear at the bottom of the page that includes its numbered in-text reference. For note numbers in the text, use superscript. Indent the first line of each note half an inch like a paragraph in the main text. Use a short line (or rule) to separate footnotes from the main text.
Footnote numbers must be superscripted. In your text, add a superscripted number immediately after the quote or reference cited with no space. The Footnote citations must be added at the foot or bottom of the SAME page where you have cited the sources. All first Footnote references must be cited in full.
Place the cursor where you would like the superscript number to appear. Click on Insert Footnote in the References tab. The corresponding number will be automatically inserted in the footer ready for you to add the footnote citation. Type in your footnote citation.
Published June 7, 2017. Footnotes are notes placed at the bottom of a page. They cite references or comment on a designated part of the text above it. For example, say you want to add an interesting comment to a sentence you have written, but the comment is not directly related to the argument of your paragraph.
After opening a document that has footnotes or end notes, place the cursor on a footnote or an end note reference. To move to the footnote reference text at the end of the page, press the SR key+Insert. To read the footnote or end note, press the SR key+R.
Click anywhere inside any footnote in the document. Press Ctrl+A to select all footnotes, but only footnotes (Figure B). Press F9 to update any fields in all the selected footnotes and click Yes to see the updated fields, as shown in Figure C.
