Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
USPS.com. To find a zip code with USPS.com, you need to fill in the fields with your USA street address, city, and state. Then click Find, and you'll get your postal code. There is also a tab to get zip code for a company.
A postal code (also known locally in various English-speaking countries throughout the world as a postcode, post code, PIN or ZIP Code) is a series of letters or digits or both, sometimes including spaces or punctuation, included in a postal address for the purpose of sorting mail.
In the United States of America a zip code is five or nine numbers that are added to a postal address to assist the sorting of mail. There are currently about 43,000 zip code. This tool can also find the postal code of many other countries.
A postcode or a postal code (called a zip code in the US) is a way for the post office to be more efficient in its delivery, by sorting the mail into geographical zones in a city. For example, I'm in the US. I live in the city of Quincy, about twenty minutes from Boston.
The Postcode is a group of between 5 and 7 letters and numbers that identify a group of houses or addresses. The Postcode has two parts, an Outward and Inward code, separated by a space. Each full Postcode contains an average of 15 delivery points and each postal delivery takes place in two stages.
Easy, just visit USPS.com, hover over the Mail & Ship top menu tab, and select Look Up a ZIP Code. Enter your address (with apartment number, if any), hit Find, and your full address with ZIP+4 will display.
The first part is the first five digits of the zip code which indicates the destination post office or delivery area. The last 4 digits of the nine-digit ZIP Code represents a specific delivery route within that overall delivery area. All 9-digits of full zip codes assist the USPS in effectively sorting the mail.
The ZIP+4 code is used and assigned by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for routing purposes. The final 4 digits are not required for delivery of your mail and may change frequently. A ZIP code is a postal code used by the United States Postal Service (USPS) in a system it introduced in 1963.
Easy, just visit USPS.com, hover over the Mail & Ship top menu tab, and select Look Up a ZIP Code. Enter your address (with apartment number, if any), hit Find, and your full address with ZIP+4 will display.
Each number of a zip code corresponds to a specific piece of information about the destination. The first number, between 0-9, denotes a geographic area of the U.S. The second two numbers of a zip code specify a specific region within that geographic area and the last two are meant to indicate a specific Post Office.
When Amazon uses those numbers the POST OFFICE has assigned to each address, they get used to allowing for faster and more accurate sorting of packages which is why Amazon is given a discount for using the numbers the POST OFFICE has added to the end of your Zip Code.
Additional numbers In 1983, a hyphen and four-digit code was added to some of the already existing ZIP codes. The sixth and seventh numbers delineate a delivery sector, which might be an office building, a small geographical area, a few blocks or a large apartment building.
