Working on the javelin today we were turbo 400 in this jab one and the dipstick that came with it was out of a Jeep, and it didn't fit in it, I was able to find a dipstick that would fit in it make it work, but it's binding on the transmission tunnel and I don't want any bound at all I broke down and bought this little car flexible dipstick it's the ink or tight lacking type we'll see how it works all in this car here it is unboxed the first thing in the SE is the parts' distributor told me was a three footer and from end to end it's you know not even three feet and from where it mounts to where the dipstick goes in it's actually more about what I need if I compare it to the dipstick I had in there they really had a pack to dump it was pretty much no way to get it out of there without destroying the package the locking feature is one of these numbers works pretty good the cable types stick that plug you see there can be inserted in the bottom side apparently for transportation or something kind of nice little add-on I'm supposed to lube up this seal here, and then we'll talk to the spec that gave us in the trans and see how it works a one-inch wrench seems to fit pretty good it's like a 10a and a wrench fits good as well oh here's a nut that secures it and the instructions say have a flat side towards the pan, so you get the pan on there you can see I'll type the clearances, and we're just kind of struggling to get this in here, and we're going to use the nut to see if we can suck it down a little hopefully not damage it here's the fitting totally seated you can see they're you know getting a torque wrench on here, so we guesstimate is a twenty-foot bones, and I've got though not oriented, and we are able to get the pan on flat you can see I get the trans way down for those, so I have clearance to get my hands in there alright I'm going to plug her in here I really like in this bottom disconnect it really simplifies things you can see there's plenty of length error stick it off we can't put it over there because the throttle linkage goes over there, and they refuse to drill new holes in the car, but we have thrown a couple of holes existing in the firewall we're going to shoot a hole in the bracket to match up with the firewall holes cut the old single-speed Black camp; Decker drill here the cordless batteries are dead here's the dipstick mounted on the firewall might be a little tougher use ones the hoods on, but I think we'll be able to make it work I made a couple spacers and step it off from the firewall some so would interfere with the wire illumine I may do some more work to the bracket on that but right now the goal is just to get the car running, so it's good enough for now all in all it's a pretty nice piece, but I definitely didn't pay the price for it not cheap we'll see how it works in the long run thanks for watching
