You know just what I think Los Angeles can't get any more greedy or corrupt or just negligent it goes and does something like this and totally redeems itself I've got a bit of good news today in the mail from the City of West Hollywood says here thank you for your inquiry concerning the citations listed below we have reviewed your claim and found you not liable therefore your citation is being permanently dismissed well that's a bit of good news for anybody if you're on the hook for some type of offense out there recently I got a parking ticket, and it was improperly issued because I parked on Sunset Boulevard and Los Angeles at a meter which was not functioning properly and even though I put quarters in the meter still wouldn't turn from red to green so when I came back from having a couple drinks I hadn't been issued a ticket so what I did at the time was no one this is not right, and I always plan on fighting any kind of legal offense that is improperly issued and so what I did was I took YouTube and I uploaded a video that I filmed with my iPhone and I filmed it myself putting quarters in the machine with an iPhone, and then I uploaded that to YouTube and I made a link for it and I sent the link to I guess it's the police further the governing agency that issues the ticket and I sent him a link and a letter saying hey it wasn't my fault I put quarters in the machine here's the video link go check it out I'm telling the truth, and so they dismissed my citation, so that's perfect news and remember next time that you find yourself in a situation where there's been some kind of impropriety done to you by the law just remember to make a record of it at the scene and and and keep storage of it or put it on YouTube, and it works, so they definitely redeemed my faith in government I know among cynical people I probably am king when it comes to you know trusting the government I mean let's face if it's really easy to write speeding tickets for not wearing seatbelts and tickets for people on cell phones it's a lot harder to catch a rapist or a mass murderer, so you know the resources when used for tax collecting purposes you know how that can end up, but I'm really happy and really grateful that justice prevailed, and I don't have to pay my ticket so remember to make a video of any kind of thing that happens to you and that way you'll have a record for it, and you can use that in court all right take care
