How to fill out adult cpr and aed

How to fill out adult CPR and AED:
01
Verify scene safety: Before approaching the victim, ensure that the scene is safe for both you and the victim. Look for any potential hazards or dangers.
02
Assess responsiveness: Gently tap the victim and ask loudly, "Are you okay?" If there is no response, quickly move on to the next step.
03
Activate emergency medical services (EMS): Call 911 or the local emergency number to ensure professional help is on the way.
04
Open the airway: Carefully tilt the head back and lift the chin to open the airway. Look, listen, and feel for any signs of breathing.
05
Begin chest compressions: Place the heel of one hand on the center of the victim's chest, between the nipples. Place the other hand on top of the first hand and interlock fingers. Push hard and fast in a downward motion, allowing the chest to fully recoil between compressions. Aim for a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
06
Administer rescue breaths: Pinch the victim's nose closed and place your mouth over their mouth, creating a seal. Give two rescue breaths, each lasting about one second. Ensure that the chest rises with each breath.
07
Use an automated external defibrillator (AED): If an AED is available, turn it on and follow the instructions provided. Attach the electrode pads to the victim's bare chest as indicated. Allow the AED to analyze the victim's heart rhythm and follow its prompts for delivering shocks if necessary.
08
Continue CPR and AED cycles: Repeat the cycle of chest compressions and rescue breaths, along with the use of the AED, until emergency medical personnel arrive and take over or until the victim shows signs of movement or begins to breathe on their own.
