The student did not have a weapon visible in his hand at the time. As the student was being detained, he stated “don't hurt me, you're a good girl.” Police were able to detain the student for questioning and found an open container of vodka in the student's school desk. The school resource officer and the school principal were able to identify the student as a suspect. The student was placed under arrest. Other incidents: On October 17th, 2016, a student at Canal Creek High School (TX) was approached by a student who informed her that he was a student here from another district and that he was “going home with a girl.” The student, who was 17 and intoxicated, was observed by a school resource officer on her way toward the bus. The police became aware of the situation and stopped the student. They saw an open container of vodka in the driver's seat of the student's vehicle. The driver was identified as the male student's friend. The investigation is ongoing. Incident Investigation: On October 17th, 2016, a student at The Woodlands Elementary School (TX) was approached by a student who attempted to engage her in a conversation about her ethnicity. While in the classroom, the student's classmate walked into the room, and the student was threatened with a knife for “coming on to [her]” by touching her hair. The male student, who was 18 and in possession of a knife, left campus.
