The meeting heard the following: As a result of the State Energy Commission (SECT) recommendations, the LA County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed the following recommendation: Recommendation No. 1994, by the County Board of Supervisors to Approve a Plan of Action to Ensure Consumers' Right to Make All Necessary Home Energy Performance Information Concerning their Home Visits Public Notice: As of September 3, 1993, each County shall adopt an Ordinance requiring that all Consumers receive home energy performance information at the end of their homes visit to the County Health Department/Public Assistance Department. The Board of Supervisors approved the ordinance by a 4-1-0 vote, with Supervisor Ron Villanueva absent. (Supervisor Frank Jorgensen voted “present”). The Board of Supervisors' approval constitutes approval by the Board of Directors of the plan of action. The county shall require each Consumer to have access at the end of each visit to the county health department/public assistance department for energy usage information for the home. The Board of Supervisors also approved an Ordinance requiring that all Consumers receive disclosure of the Consumer's energy savings at no cost to the consumer from the county health department/public assistance department at their home. (Supervisor Ron Villanueva voted “present”). Supervisor James Gallagher (District 1 & 2) voted “present”. Supervisor Jorgensen (District 7) voted “present”. The Board of Supervisors approved the ordinance by an 8-2-0 vote.
