Give rescue breaths: After 30 compressions, tilt the person's head back, lift the chin, and pinch the nose closed. Give two rescue breaths, watching for the chest to rise with each breath.

Continue cycles of compressions and breaths: Repeat the cycle of 30 compressions and 2 rescue breaths until help arrives or until the person shows signs of life.
