This section summarizes the most significant actions CEQ staff is taking. These actions are not a substitute for CEQ's analysis and subsequent recommendations to the EPA. For additional information, CEQ staff will continue this effort via a public meeting and outreach to key individuals. Staff will review and update, as appropriate, current guidelines or best practices for ozone and/or particle control programs. Some of this material was already addressed in a CEQ study completed in June 2009. CEQ will issue an interim report on the report and consider updating its recommended options in September 2009. This report is a “work in progress” which should continue for several months. A more detailed report is expected to be published in April 2010. The EPA announced that CEQ would be reviewing the proposed HUB ozone standard. The CEQ data analysis team began work on preliminary ozone modeling.
