SAP Appeal Deadlines In ance with state regulations, the SAP deadline is no earlier than 3 weeks prior to the end of the student's academic term. The academic term may vary based on enrollment. We cannot award financial aid for previous terms if we did not receive the appeal by the term deadline.
At the end of the term, SAP is reviewed again. If you still don't meet the requirements, you'll be placed on Disqualified status for the following term, meaning you'll lose financial aid eligibility.
If a student's SAP appeal is not approved, they will not be eligible to receive Financial Aid for that academic year. If the student chooses to remain enrolled for that semester, they are responsible for the charges incurred on their account.
If you fail to meet SAP standards, you will be placed on financial aid restriction. Students on financial aid restriction are not eligible to receive Federal, state, or institutional financial aid. However, you may be eligible to receive private (alternative) loans, which can be found here.
Valid Reasons to Submit a SAP Appeal Severe health issues. Severe personal or family problems. Serious illness or death of a family member (parent, grandparent or sibling) Exceeded time frame for completing the credits required for your degree.
Grade Point Measurement Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average in order to meet SAP GPA requirements.
Completion Rate Complete at least 67 percent of all your attempted credits per semester. This calculation is performed by dividing the number of credits earned by the number of credit hours attempted. Calculations not resulting in whole numbers are rounded to the nearest whole number.
