Students have their choice of 23 residence halls, with four years of housing guaranteed to all entering freshman.
If roommates wish to be reassigned together, each person must submit their own request which lists all other preferred roommates. We will be in contact with you if your room change can be accommodated.
To access the housing application, go to NYU Home and click on or search for the Housing Forms card.
Students are encouraged to sign up for housing by the deadline as space is limited and available first-come, first-serve. NYU's residential halls are co-ed, and each room or suite will have its own bathroom. Lounges are available for student study spaces and socializing, and each hall has a laundry room.
Applying for on-campus housing is optional, not required (living in University-provided housing is only required when you are participating in a study away program). In order to live on campus, all students MUST comply with the published deadline to submit required immunization records to NYU Health Services.
The Application Process Once a new first-year undergraduate student has accepted admission to NYU from the Office of Admissions, they will be able to access the housing application via the Housing Forms tab in NYU Home.
