The Collegiate Science and Technology Program's (CSTEP) goal is to increase the number of students from under-represented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields.
Scholarships for Test Preparation Courses: Students are eligible for full or partial scholarships to enroll in MCAT, LSAT, GMAT or GRE preparation courses. Financial Assistance for Graduate School Applications: Financial assistance is provided to CSTEP seniors for graduate and professional-school applications.
Over 70% of CSTEP students matriculate in STEM and health related fields. On average, more than 15% of CSTEP graduates enter licensed professions each year. Over 5,500 underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students participate annually in CSTEP. CSTEP seniors graduate at a higher rate than non-CSTEP peers.
Eligibility Requirements Students must meet the minimum 12-month New York state residency requirement. Identify as a member of an underrepresented minority group. The state of New York has designated Black/African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Americans, and Alaskan Natives as members of such groups.
